Osteogenezis imperfektalı bir olguda anestezi uygulaması

Abstract

Osteogenezis imperfekta (OI) anormal Tip I kollajen üretimi ile karakterize, otozomal kalıtımlı ender bir bağ dokusu hastalığıdır. OI’lı olgularda, anatomik anormallikler rejyonel anestezi uygulamasını zorlaştırarak anestezi tekniğinin seçimini etkilemektedir. Bu olgularda hava yolu kontrolü ve entübasyonla ilişkili sorunların yanı sıra anestezik ajanların malign ve malign olmayan hipertermiyi tetikleme riski ile karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu makalede, OI olgularda anestezi seçiminin tartışılması ve üretra taşı nedeniyle ameliyatı planlanan OI’lı bir olguda total intravenöz anestezi ve laringeal maske uygulamasının değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare autosomal inherited connective tissue disease, characterized by abnormal type 1 collagen production. Anatomical abnormalities may affect the choice of anesthesia technique by causing difficulties for regional anesthesia in the management of the patients with OI. The problems relation with airway control and intubation and the risk of anesthetic agents triggering malignant or non-malignant hyperthermia are seen in these cases. The discussion of the anesthesia choice and the evaluation of total intravenous anesthesia and laryngeal mask management in a patient with OI undergoing an operation for urethral stone are aimed in this presentation.
