Bronşiyolitis obliteranslı çocukların annelerinde uyku niteliğinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, bronşiyolitis obliteranslı (BO) çocuğu olan annelerin uyku niteliğinin değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya BO’lu çocuğu olan 36 anne ve sağlıklı çocuğu olan 62 anne alındı. Çalışmaya alınan tüm anneler Pittsburgh uyku niteliği endeksini (PUNE) yanıtladı. Bulgular: Hasta ve kontrol grubunda yer alan annelerin çocuklarının yaş ortalaması istatistiksel olarak benzerdi (BO grubunda 3,57±2,58 iken kontrol grubunda 3,85±1,46 p>0,05). Toplam PUNE ve öznel uyku niteliği puanları BO grubundaki annelerde kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı yüksek bulundu (p=0,015). Çıkarımlar: Bu çalışmada, BO’lu çocuğu olan annlerin yaşam niteliğinin sağlıklı çocuğu olanlara göre anlamlı kötü olduğu gösterilmiştir. Çocuğun bakımı ile birincil ilgili olan annelerin psikolojik iyilik hali çocuğun bakım ve gelişimini etkileyeceğinden bu annelerin destek açısından değerlendirilmesi önerilebilir.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of sleep in mothers of children with bronchiolitis obliterans. Material and Method: The study group consisted of 36 mothers with a child who had bronchiolitis obliterans and 62 mothers with healthy children. All mothers enrolled in the study filled in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results: The mean ages of the children of the mothers enrolled in the study were statistically similar (3.57±2.58 vs 3.85±1.46 years, p>0.05). Total Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores and subjective sleep quality scores in the mothers of children with bronchiolitis obliterans were significantly higher than those in the mothers of healthy children (both p=0.015). Conclusions: In this study, it was found that mothers of children with bronchiolitis obliterans have poor sleep quality. Therefore, assessment may be needed for the requirement of support regarding sleep quality in them.
